Meet Our Nurses 

 

Katrina Towne Briscoe, APN is a Board-Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner form Arkansas State University, Master of Science in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist from Harding University-Searcy, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Harding University-Searcy. Ms. Briscoe received numerous honors while receiving her education, including the Kathryn G. Harker Memorial Scholarship, Master Board Member Honor from the Arkansas School Board Association, Convocation of Scholars: Outstanding Graduate (4.0 GPA), and Achievement in Medicine and Health Care: Oasis Organization. 

 

Ms. Briscoe is a member of the American Nurse Association, Arkansas Nurse Association, Sigma Theta Tau, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

 

 

 

P. Merlene Cook, RNP is a Registered Nurse-Practitioner Licensed. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Little Rock. With over 20 years of experience in nursing, Ms. Cook’s background includes work in a variety of settings including hospice, geriatrics, women’s health, infant-child health, and emergency care.

 

 

 

Bonnie Dillard, APN is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience in both emergency and non-emergent care. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master of Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and honored by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing Top Ten List. 

 

 

 

Debra Kail, APN is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience and expertise in HIV/AIDS care and community health issues. Ms. Kail earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Science in Adult Health Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist from the Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Additionally, Ms. Kail is a Certified Grant Writer.

 

 

 

Janet Oakes, APN is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience. She has been a nurse at White River Rural Health Center since 1991. Ms. Oakes earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree with Honors from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Gamma XI Chapter.

  

 

 

Martha J. Sanders, APN is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and has been with White River Rural Health Center for over 5 years. Ms. Sanders graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis. She graduated with Honors from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro with a Master of Science in Nursing Degree. Additionally, Ms. Sanders earned a Post-Masters Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro. 

 

Ms. Sanders is a member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, Northwest Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association, Northeast Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association, and Arkansas Nurse’s Association.

 

 

 

Kathleen Yates, APN is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with experience in internal medicine, primary care medicine, and geriatric psychiatric medicine. She has expertise in HIV care and treatment. Ms. Yates earned her Nursing Degrees from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
